ACCREDITATION
UNITED KINGDOM CLINICAL HYPNOSIS EXAMINATION BOARD
The
UK Clinical Hypnosis Examination Board is an independent
body that sets the criteria for the diploma course and
invigilates the final examinations. Because the examination
board is responsible for awarding the diploma, it regularly
assesses the teaching standards and course content, which
serves to regulate the clinical hypnosis diploma course.
The board of examiners ensures that students are evaluated
without bias and that the highest ethical standards are
maintained.
In order to ensure a balanced evaluation of each student
the board is composed of mixed professional disciplines
and includes psychiatrists, medical practioners, psychologists
and other healthcare professionals.
The
BST Foundation's clinical hypnotherapy training programme
has been mapped to the Skills for Health (SfH) National
Occupational Standards (NOS) for hypnptherapy. SfH is
the Sector Skills Council (SSC) for the UK health sector.
The 25 Sector Skills Councils which make up the Skills
for
Business Network are licensed by the Secretary of State
for Education and Skills in consultation with Ministers
in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Sector Skills
Councils are supported and monitored by the Sector Skills
Development Agency. http://www.skillsforhealth.org.uk/page

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD) IN MENTAL HEALTH
Ongoing
training is both a necessary and vital requirement for
all professionals who work in the field of mental health
care.
The
Foundations courses have subsequently gained CPD approval
from a range of governing bodies. This has allowed psychiatrists,
psychologists, psychotherapists and counsellors to use
their training to contribute towards their individual
CPD requirements. |
