Entry Requirements

Many prospective students may not have traditional qualifications or may have training in a different professional field. Student applications are viewed individually on merit and those students showing commitment, interest and relevant experience will be considered without formal qualifications. A Level candidates are expected to have achieved at least 2 C grades at A Level.

A brief informal interview may be arranged to assess prospective student’s suitability for the course. Professionals holding a medical qualification or other recognised examination will be exempt from this requirement pending initial discussion. If you are unsure whether you are eligible to apply for the DipHE, please contact the Foundation and we will be pleased to explore the options with you.

Current practising hypnotherapist’s who can demonstrate the appropriate prior learning or experience and wish to apply to update their training with a recognised university qualification, may be eligible to take a fast track route and be directly accepted onto the second year of the DipHE programme.

International students from outside the EU

To be eligible to be issued with a student visa students are required to be register on a 3 year degree programme leading to a BA or BsC.

Students from outside the EU are eligible to apply for a student visa if registered on the full undergraduate degree programme consisting of the Diploma of Higher Education in Clinical Hypnosis (2 years study) and a further 1 year on the BSc (Hons.) in Clinical Hypnosis. Alternatively students may choose to complete a further 2 years study on the undergraduate Psychology degree programme to obtain a BPS accredited degree in Psychology. Whether to transfer to the additional 1 year or 2 years does not need to be decided until the DipHE is completed.
